Cory McCrayCory McCray
Board Chair (IBEW Local 24)

Cory McCray joined the IBEW (Local 24) apprenticeship program in April 2003. During his time in the program, he regularly attended Local Union meetings and volunteered his services on many activities sponsored (i.e., the annual picnic and Christmas committees). In April 2008, he graduated from the Local 24’s JATC and joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 24’s staff as a Union Organizer. He was appointed to the position of Assistant Business Manager for Local 24 in January 2009 – October 2010. In November 2009, he accepted the position of presiding as the Board Chairman for the Young Trade Unionists. In October 2010, he was sworn in as an elected officer of the IBEW Local 24 to serve out a three year term. He is currently a Lead Organizer for the IBEW’s Region 1.

Jessica Ingerick Jessica Ingerick
Financial Secretary (OPEIU Local 277)

Jessica graduated from Cornell University where she studied Biology. Naturally, she began a career in marketing and public relations. Her first job was with American Income Life, a 100% Union life insurance company where she works with local unions. She is a member of Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU) Local 277 and is a delegate to the DC and Baltimore Central Labor Councils. It is in this position where she really learned about and became a part of the Labor Movement.

George Hendricks
Vice Chairman (BTU Local 340)

George Hendricks was a teacher for Baltimore City for 5 years. He is a former executive board member of Baltimore Teachers Union (BTU). He is currently a Field Representative for BTU.


Jerome Miller
Sergeant of Arms (IBEW Local 24)

Jerome Miller joined the IBEW (Local 24) apprenticeship program in April 2003. During that time he became very active in his local. Jerome graduated from the Local 24’s JATC and continued working as a Journeyman Electrician for an electrical contractor name TRACO doing automatic temperature control work. He has accepted the responsibility of sitting on the Executive Board for the Young Trade Unionists to help with the labor movement.

Jessica Goins
Executive Board (UFCW Local 27)

Jessica is 26 years old and a proud member of United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 27. She began interning with the UFCW after graduating from Lynchburg College, with a Bachelors Degree in Communications. In 2006 she volunteered with the Democratic Coordinated Campaign as a field organizer. In 2008 she worked with the AFL-CIO on the Presidential Campaign. Currently she is a Business Agent for the members of UFCW.

Bruce Holtman Jr.
Executive Board (IATSE Local 19)

Bruce Holtman Jr. grew up in Hampden. He attended high school at Cardinal Gibbons and Towson University for college. Bruce has been a member of Local #19, I.A.T.S.E. since 1994 and has been the Vice President of the Union since 2003. Bruce is a Union Steward and Master Flyman at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore, MD. He has been active in union activities most of his adult life, since his father is also very active in his union and with the AFL-CIO. He has attended, organized or participated in numerous rallies, picket lines, political functions, and organizing campaigns over the past 15 years.

Sherrice Wilfong
Executive Board (APWU Local 181)

Sherrice Wilfong is a 14 Year Postal Employee who joined the APWU (Local 181) in 1995. She has been a Shop Steward for 5 Years and is currently Chair Person of the Ergonomics Team, Human Relations Assistant, and Social & Recreation Commissioner.

Francis M. Jacobberger
Executive Board (BAC Local 1 MD, VA, & DC/Director Market Development)

Francis became a member of the Bricklayers & Allied Cratworkers (Local 1 WA) in April 2001. He finished his bricklaying apprenticeship training in SLC, UT and started cross training in refractory while working for Us Magnesium LLC and held two union memberships one with BAC and one with USW Local 392. In 2005 he started working for Caretti, Inc. a Stone & Brick company based out of Woodbine MD and was actively engaged in promoting union strategies to create more market share for members and their signatory employers. He was appointed to field representative for BAC Local 1 Baltimore Chapter in January of 2008 then Organizer for Local 1 MD, VA & DC, Compliance Officer and currently is Director of Market Development. On November 1st 2010 he accepted the position of Board Member for the Young Trade Unionists.

Jerry Kerner Jr.
Executive Board (Letter Carriers Oriole Branch 176)

Jerry is a member of the National Assocation of Letter Carriers, Oriole Branch 176 and is employed as a City Letter Carrier with the United States Postal Service. In addition to being union member, he is also on Branch 176’s scholarship committee who select branch members’ relatives for yearly scholarships to help attend college. He is also a graduate of Towson University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

Ronald Edwards
Executive Board (Iron Workers Local 16)

Ronald Edwards has been a Union Ironworker for 24 years. For 16 of those years he worked in the field as a Field Superintendent. Ron has oversaw steel operations for the following jobs- National Aquarium, Cincinnati Bengal Stadium, Ed Hale Canton Towers, and the National Institute of Health. Ron has supported and attended the George Meany Labor College which was started by the AFL-CIO. Ron has also owned a small real estate investment company. Ron is currently an Organizer for Ironworkers Local #16.
