On July 17th, the Young Trade Unionists took the streets to make a difference in the 2010 Voting year. We held a great grass roots effort to increase the voter registration for the State of Maryland. This event was held in front of three Giant Supermarket Stores. Those stores were 4624 Edmondson Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229, 5150 Sinclair Lane, Baltimore, MD 21206, and 601 E. 33rd Street, Baltimore, MD 21218. This was a great opportunity to reach many youth throughout the neighborhood and give them an education on how important the voting process is. We would like to give a big thanks to Giant Food Supermarket Stores and the UFCW (United Food & Commercial Workers) LU. 27 for helping us organize the event. We would also like to thank the Baltimore City Young Dems for partnering with us to make this event a success. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next event which will be a Labor Day parade on September 6th. Stay tuned for details, the fun is just beginning!
